Judaism revival in Galilee – the places of Sanhedrin
Due to the destruction of the Second Temple, Judaism faced the challenge of adaptation of the religion and its cult to the new circumstances. An important role in this process was held by Sanhedrin, a Jewish religious body, which moved from town to town in Galilee – Usha, Beit Shearim, Tzippori, Tiberias, where the Mishna and the Talmud were written. Amazing archeological sites, related to these times and events, were discovered in Beit Sha'arim and Tzippori.
